Greenfield belongs to the Peninsula Girls’ Schools Games Union and participates in the tennis, hockey, netball and swimming leagues. While it is exciting to play competitive sport against surrounding schools, the emphasis is rather on participation and the enjoyment of team sport. The Senior teams enjoy the expertise of specialist coaches. Teachers offer basic ball skills and swimming lessons to the junior grades. Social sport is also offered including Rounders. The girls participate in the annual Inter-Schools Cross Country competition. Private tennis lessons are given by an outside tennis coach both at school and at the nearby Wynberg Tennis Club courts. Many girls have gained Western Province colours and they are honoured on a Wall of Fame outside the school hall. The annual Family Fun Sports Day is an event in which the whole family can participate.
