Private tuition in the following extramural activities is available at Greenfield for all girls from Grades 1 to 7.  Enquiries with regard to the fee structure of these extramurals may be made via the school office.

DRAMA

Drama forms part of so many aspects of everyday life:  public speaking, introducing oneself to others, oral presentations, lateral/creative thinking, social skills such as team work and listening.

At Greenfield, all our learners are given the opportunity to take Drama from Grade 1 through to Grade 7 and thus have a wonderful opportunity to develop, from an early age, the crucial skills required to understand not only those around them, but their own complex emotions too.

THEATRE DANCE

The Theatre Dance syllabus is fun, innovative and modern.  It provides the student with a structured curriculum that teaches technique and assists them with current trends and styles applicable to this day and age.

The girls participate in yearly workshops, shows, dance Eisteddfods, medal tests and exams.

Subjects covered:  Floor Barre, Stretch and Strengthening, Standing Barre, centre work ie: shake and shimmy, jumps and spin, Modern Jazz, Hip Hop, Soft Shoe Shuffle, Mime, Song and Dance.

BALLET & GREEK DANCING

Ballet and Greek Dancing are offered to pupils from Grades 1 to 7.The girls are coached in the Grades and Majors of the Royal Academy of Dancing (Ballet) and the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing in both Classical Greek and National Dance.

ART CLASSES

Arty Hour is offered on a Monday, Tuesday and Friday afternoon.  Group sizes are limited to ensure individual attention.  Various techniques are explored including painting, drawing, clay sculpture, decoupage etc.

Focus is on developing fine motor co-ordination and encouraging creativity.
